I'm Rebecca Marie Akkad (BA)(MA) -
An upcoming film maker from Brighton/London.
Currently freelancing for Fatsand Productions
I'm known to work with HD/ SD and super 8mm cameras.
I have a fascination with the body and this is very much reflected in my work. Years of watching horror and early silent German expressionist films have led me to where I am now.
When I'm not filming and experimenting with everything at my disposal, I'm a professional body piercer. I think it's amazing what we do to our bodies and the different way bodies respond.
Last year I completed my Masters experimental film named 'Death and Debauchery' which I filmed, directed, produced and edited myself. It's based on body modification and the fear of death and nostalgia, told through voiceless images and acts. Bizarre Magazine have covered two of my film shoots for this film (June & August 2009) and it generally has had an amazing response.

Most people can't watch my films all the way through- I don't set out to offend people..it just naturally turns out that way.
